What We Handle for Box Trucks

On top of everything in our standard dispatch service, here's what matters most for your equipment.

  • Loads That Fit Your Box

We check pallet count, weight and dimensions against your truck before we book, so nothing shows up that you can't legally carry.

  • Lift Gate and Pallet Jack Loads

We tell you up front when a delivery has no dock and needs a lift gate or pallet jack, and look for loads that match what you carry.

  • Local, Regional or Over the Road

Tell us how far you want to run and when you want to be home, and we plan loads around it.

  • Rate Cons Checked

We read every rate confirmation for appointment times, accessorials and payment terms before you roll.

  • Paperwork and Payment

We send your invoice with the rate con, BOL and POD to the broker or your factoring company.

Good to Know

Most box trucks used for freight are rated at 26,000 lbs gross vehicle weight or less, so the driver usually doesn't need a CDL. Check the GVWR on the sticker inside your driver's door to be sure.

You still need your own USDOT number and active operating authority to haul freight for hire across state lines, plus cargo and liability insurance that brokers will accept.

Box Truck Dispatch Questions

Do I need a CDL to drive a box truck?

Usually not. A CDL is required for a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 lbs or more, so most 24–26 ft box trucks rated at 26,000 lbs can be driven without one.

How much can a box truck make per week?

Box trucks we dispatch typically gross $6,000–$8,000 a week at $2.00–$2.50 a mile. Your results depend on the market, your lanes and how many days you run.

What does box truck dispatch cost?

7% of your weekly gross for one truck, 6% for two or more, or a flat $250 per week.
